The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, announced a six percent hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for central government employees and pensioners on Tuesday.With this hike, the DA increases from the previous 107 percent of basic pay to 113 percent.The hike for the month of January which used to be announced in the month of March was delayed by the government leading to protes....

As per unconfirmed reports, the Seventh Pay Commission is likely to seek extension till October as it would not be able to submit its report in August as mandated.The reports of Seventh Pay Commission will be implicated from April next year as Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said in the Parliament on February 27, “The 7th Pay Commission impact may have to be absorbed in 2016-17.”Read :&nbs....

The Union Cabinet is expected to make the formal approval for the 6% Dearness Allowance hike for the Central Government employees this Thursday (02/03/2015). As per the calculation DA, from January 2015 will be 113% i.e. a hike of 6%. How ever the finance ministry will have to issue the order before the DA with arrears can be disbursed. The order may again take two to three weeks.....

The All India Audit & Accounts Association has met the 7th pay commission on 27-3-2015 to tender its Oral evidence. The All-India CPI-IW (AI CPI-IW) for the month of February 2015 has been released by the Labour Bureau, Government of India. The index declined by one point as compared against January 2015 and stands at 253. Even though we have only 8 of 12 indices required to calculate the dearness allowance from July 2015, with the available figures, it can be assumed that the Dearness Allowance from January'15....
