The Employees Provident Fund Organisation's (EPFO) finance panel has recommended raising the interest rate on statutory savings of over 5 crore subscribers from 8.75% to 8.95% during the current fiscal.The proposal has to be endorsed by the central board of trustees before the finance ministry notifies it. With the Pay Commission recomendations are in the process of getting government node, it is unlikely that the DA hike will be announced for the January 2016. Usualy the DA for the central govt. employees will be hiked twise a year - in the month of January and July. Since the 7th PC has considered the merged DA for the new pay, government is unlikely to announce DA in January 2016 a....
