As violent protests by garment workers continued in Bengaluru over the Centre's February notification restricting withdrawal of Employee Provident Fund, the Central government on Tuesday said that the notification will be kept in abeyance for three months till July 31, 2016. The Centre is considering to inclusion of vacations on luxury ships under the Leave Travel Concession (LTC) scheme where government employees get their travel costs reimbursed. The deadline for central government employees to file details of their assets and liabilities, along with that of their spouses and dependent children, as part of mandatory obligations under Lokpal Act was extended for the fifth time today till July this year.
