Regarding new pay charts

It is found that a lot of new pay charts based on the committee of secretaries (CoS) recommendations are being circulated. Regarding this We would like to inform that after analysis, these charts do not represent any recommendation from the CoS and is only imagination of some individuals. The only news available till now is that in calculating the Basic Pay (Pay Band and Grade Pay), DA of 86% was suggested against the 74% recommended by the Sixth Pay Commission. The effect of this would be an increment of around Rs. 300 to Rs. 3000 across the pay bands. There is no information about the increase in number of pay bands or change in the increment proposed.

Also it is only expected that the Thirteenth Finance Commission is to review pay panel recommendations, but not yet referred so far. The subject was not discussed during the last cabinet meeting. The next cabinet meeting is on 7th August and it is expected that the issue will be taken up.
