Congress warns party men against strike Jarkand Congress against strikeWorried about the huge participation and the support being gained for the two day general strike two-day strike called by trade unions that is against the policies of the central government, the congress is all out for steps against it.

The Jharkhand Congress today issued a warning that stringent action against any party worker taking part in the strike called by the unions. Incidentally Congress-affiliated INTUC also supports the strike.

The warning was issued by the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee president and Rajya Sabha MP Pradip Kumar Balmuchu at a press conference. He warned that the Congress is opposed to the strike and would take stringent action if any party worker participated in it.

Yesterday the governemnt through DoPT has issued a warning to the employees of "consequences" including deduction in wages and disciplinary action if they take part in the strike. Meanwhile the Prime Minister has appealed to the Central Trade Unions asking to withdraw their call for strike, which the unions outrightly rejected (Read : DoPT issues warning against strike; wage cut and disciplinary action to be taken )
