The Ministry of Finance have issued orders for the payment of Dearness Allowance to the Central Government employees at the revised rates. The DA from January 2014 had been hiked to 100% - a hike of 10% from then existing rate. The order says that the arrears of Dearness Allowance should not he made before the date of disbursement of salary of March. 2014. It also says that the additional installment of DA payable under these orders shall be paid in cash.
