Honda Cars India, on Tuesday, launched upgraded versions of its hatchback Brio with new features. The added features include driver seat height adjuster and a rear windshield defogger. The models will be priced between Rs 4.12 lakh – Rs 6.12 lakh.

New BrioThe new Brio packs safety features like dual SRS front airbags, Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) which prevents wheel locking and Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD).

The company also introduced 'Honda Care Maintenance Package' which will give customers the benefit of free periodic maintenance service up to 40,000 kilometres or two years whichever occurs first.

Honda Cars India Ltd Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Jnaneswar Sen said, “Brio is a significant model for Honda in India as the car added more than 32,000 happy customers in the last fiscal year. We are pleased to announce upgrades to the Brio with added comfort and convenience in its segment which will appeal to the customers.”

The car is powered by a 4-cylinder 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine and gives fuel economy of 19.4 km/litre for manual transmission and 16.5 km/litre for automatic transmission, as per test data, the company said.

The company had found a huge success with the newly launched sedan version of the brio - the Amaze. It had 22K booking and 4,852 units sold in April and struggling to keep up with the demand. One of the reason for the high sales and booking of Amaze may also be because of it coming with diesel variant. The company is also planning for the diesel variants of City, Brio and Jazz which would make the corresponding sales number go high.
