Over 24 lakh cases settled in National Lok Adalat conducted in Tamil Nadu

The National Lok Adalat, conducted across Tamil Nadu on December 6, settled 24,73,212 cases for an award amount of Rs 2,081 crore.

"The figures might be among the highest in the country. We will receive the exact numbers from the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, within a week," said an official of Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority.

The National Lok Adalat was conducted at district legal service authorities and taluk legal services committees across the state. It was also conducted at the high court legal service committee.
