The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has opened the registration portal for candidates interested in applying for Class 1 admissions at Kendriya Vidyalayas across India. On the official website, the online registration process for admissions to Class 1 will be open until March 21, 2022.

Admission to Class I will require a minimum age of six years. The admission information is provided. on the official website, https://kvsangathan.nic.in/ or https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in/.

From the academic session 2020-21 and onwards, the following process will be followed for new admissions to Kendriya Vidyalayas in Class I.

First Lot: According to RTE provisions, 10 seats (out of 40) in Class I each section must be filled (25 percent of seats), and these 10 seats will be filled by drawing lots from all applications of SC/ST/EWS/BPL/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently Abled who are residents of the neighbourhood.

Second Lot: A lottery for Differently Abled candidates from SC/ST/OBCNCL/Unreserved will be held in accordance with the Priority Category.

Third Lot: The remaining seats (after deducting RTE and Differently Abled applicants, if any) will be filled according to the existing Priority Categories of Cat-1 and Cat-2 (Cat-1 to Cat-3 in the case of Project/IHL KV) only up to the sanctioned strength or until all registered candidates from Cat-1 and Cat-2 (Cat-1 to Cat-3 in the case of Project/IHL KV) are filled.

Fourth Lot: From the admitted summary of RTE, DA, Cat-1 and Cat-2 (Cat-1 to Cat-3 in the case of Project/IHL KV) admissions completed till the third phase, the total number of SC/ST/OBC-NCL will be counted. Following that, any remaining seats earmarked for SC/ST/OBC-NCL will be filled by admitting SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates in the order of priority for admission, regardless of the sanctioned strength.

Fifth Lot: If the sanctioned strength is not filled and seats remain available after all of these processes, applicants from Priority Cat-3 (Cat-4 in Project/IHL KV) onwards will be considered for admission according to the existing priority list for unreserved seats only. The RTE/SC/ST/OBC (NCL) empty reserved seats should be kept vacant.
