Skip to mainIn the month of January 2022, the private and the public sectors will be having many holidays. Out of 31 days of the month, there are 16 days that the bank can remain closed. It doesn't mean that tall banks will be closed for all 16 days. The holidays as listed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will depend upon the state that the banks are situated.
According to the RBI, there will be up to nine state-specific holidays in January 2022, which have already begun. This includes the first day of January when certain states' banks will be closed. The following seven holidays are weekend leaves, during which all banks across the country are closed. So, if you have any bank-related work, you should first check with your nearest branch about the bank holidays in January to ensure that you can complete your tasks without interruption.
