In light of the rapidly rising number of COVID-19 cases in the city and the necessity for additional people to address the crisis, the Delhi government has cancelled all of its officers and staff's leave and directed them not to leave the station.
According to an order issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Tuesday, containing the epidemic will require a massive mobilisation of human resources at all levels of the municipal administration." Until further notice," the directive stated, "the competent authority directs to revoke all leave issued, excluding medical leave, to all officers/officials/staff in all departments, offices of the Delhi government."
It also stated that no leave or permission to leave the station would be provided to officers, officials, and staff of various departments of the GNCT of Delhi, except for medical reasons.
According to a health advisory published by the city government on Wednesday, Delhi registered 10,665 new Covid cases and eight more deaths due to the viral disease in a 24-hour period.
