Android Wear - an OS for wearable devices

Google is bringing a all OS - the  Android Wear an operating system specifically designed for devices like smart watches and other wearable devices. The OS primarily focuses on notifications on the wearable devices accepting quick and easy feedbacks. The idea is that the devices will mostly be used for receiving notifications and alert like SMSs or browse through todo list, rather
than using whatsapp or other extensive typing or other continuous usage. It is expected that google will make good use of Google Now, the voice activated personal assistant for the mobile phones.

For the product range, LG will launch its G Watch in the summer, along with Motorola’s Moto 360. These smart watches allows you to perform tasks easily with no need to take phone from your pocket.

By using your smartphone via Bluetooth, you can ensure all your notifications are available in your smartwatch. Notification of an important email, text message, missed call or calendar are at one glance away. The smartwatch helps to notify you of traffic delays, weather alerts, flight delays etc.

The watches has voice control functionality, so there is no need to type message. Just say "OK Google," then say the message and send a text message, call a taxi, making a restaurant reservation or set an alarm.
