Holiday declared for central govt offices on polling day

The central government offices in the states where elections to state assembly are scheduled to be conducted will remain closed on the day of poll.

In connection with bye-election to Lok Sabha or state assembly, only the employees who are bona-fide voters in the relevant constituency should be granted special casual leave on the day of polling, it said.

For the employees having vote in these states but employed in any central government organization or industrial establishment located outside the constituency having a general bye-election will be eligible for a special casual leave.
