10 % DA hike likely to be approved at today's cabinet meetimg
The union cabinet is to meet today (20/09/13) and the dearness allowance hike is among the agenda points. The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be chairing a Cabinet meeting on Thursday. The dearness allowance which is calculated based on the CPI-IW over the past 12 months is expected be hike by 10% .

The DA hike, which will benefit millions of central government employees and pensioners needs to be approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) meeting. Following this the finance ministry ministry will be issuing orders before the employees can receive the benefit
