Honda launches its first MPV Mobilio with price starting from Rs 6.49 lakh onwards
Honda Car India Limited has launched their first MPV, the Mobilio. The Mobilio is available in four variants with prices starting from Rs 6.49 lakh (for S trim) all the way to Rs 10.86 lakh (applicable for the RS diesel trim) ex-Delhi. Mobilio has been coined from English words mobility and mobile. Honda Mobilio's deliveries will begin from today.

The Mobilio is built on the extended platform of the Brio, which it shares with the Amaze. It is 4.4-metre long with a wheelbase of 2.6-metre and has a ground clearance of 185mm. It is a seven seater with captain seats in the middle row which can be slided for easy entry into the last bench. The MPV is 4,386mm in length with 185mm of ground clearance.

The dashboard and the upholstery reminds one of the Amaze/Brio. The interior gets a two-tone colour scheme, which makes the cabin feel roomy. The seats are flexible with plenty of storage space, with a generous amount of cabin space and good amount of headroom. What is impressive is that even the third row seat gets adequate knee room and can be used for long drives. The interior of the Mobilio is similar to what we have on the Brio and Amaze. There was also a faux wood inlay dash scheme which Honda ditched due to unfavourable feedback. This dashboard also comprised a sat nav system, reverse parking camera and the regular audio system with a video player.

Speaking of the audio system, the one available in the Mobilio does not come with a CD player. It can play FM and allow aux and USB input.

The sportier Mobilio RS will be launched a few weeks after the regular Mobilio and will be available only in diesel. The deliveries for the Mobilio RS would begin from September 2014.
