Ok Google - Google voice assistant now available for desktop
The Google has brought its voice activated search to the desktop computers via a chrome extension. Once installed this extension make your google search hands free. While in the google search page, you can initiate the voice commands by saying "Ok Google" followed by the search terms or simple queries. Some of the queries will be answered by voice. For an example you can sat "delhi to calcutta distance" and you will hear "the distance from Delhi, India to Kolkotta, India is 1,484.7 km"

The extension named "Google Voice Search Hotword extension" which is currently in beta can be downloaded from chrome webstore. The extension currently works only on the U.S. version of Google search i.e. Google.com and not google.co.in. If you are on google.co.in, you can go to google.com by clicking the link in the bottom right corner of the page.
