New Alto 800 launch on Oct 16
Maruti Suzuki India is all set to launch a new version of its best selling model Alto next week.

As per the reports, the company will launch the new Alto 800 on October 16 to replace the existing Alto and is hoping to overcome tough market conditions.

The new Maruti Alto 800 will reportedly be priced at around 2.5-3 lakhs. It will have direct competition with the Tata Nano and the Hyundai EON.

The company claims a fuel efficiency of 22.74 kmpl, which is 15 percent higher than the previous model. This is one of the key attraction to woo customer.

Besides, the new car is expected to have a new design along with other features such improved gear shift and more leg room for rear passengers.

A CNG versions of the model also will be available

The car will reportedly come in six variants -€ three in CNG and three in Petrol. The petrol variant is expected to give a mileage of approximately 23 kilometre per litre while the CNG version will give a mileage of around approximately 31 kilometre per litre.

The petrol version is likely to be priced between Rs.2.5 lakh and Rs.3 lakh while the CNG version will be priced between Rs.3 lakh and Rs.3.5 lakh.
