Now an Acer Tablet under $99? Acer Iconia B1 to beat Google and Asus to  mark?It looks like the hype about the Aakash tablet has faded out with more and more industry leaders coming yout with low cost tablets. 2013 is likely to see some big name tablets drop beneath the $100 threshold, following the launch of the original Amazon Kindle Fire and Google Nexus 7 devices that brought prices droping. The Google is planning for a low cost Nexus Tablet with Azus. Rumors are making rounds of Acer too releasing a tablet for an expected $99. There has been no official communication about the tablet. However the details of the tablet named Iconia B1 has surfaced via the details submitted for the FCC approval. The details submitted are available for the public at the FCC website. It is expected that the Iconia B1 will be launched at the Consumer Electronics Show - CES at Las Vegas during January 2013.

This machine has a Mediatek processor with dual-core CPU action and 512 MB of RAM. It has got 8GB of storage and a microSD card slot for memory expansion. This tablet will be coming with Bluetooth 4.0 as well as GPS and will likely be running Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
