Budget Android - The Pocket Neo by Samsung

Budget Android - The Pocket Neo by Samsung At one end Samsung is taking it on the Apple for the lead in the high end phones. Meanwhile it also aims to dominate in all segments including the budget phones. The company is set to launch a new budget Android smartphone in May. The phone Pocket Neo amed Pocket Neo will be available in single-SIM and dual-SIM models. The phone is likely to have a 3-inch display with a resolution of 320x240 pixels and a 2MP primary camera. The Pocket Neo will be quite compact with dimensions of 104.95 x 57.8 x 11.8 mm and will support all popular connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and A-GPS. Samsung is expected to launch the phone in silver colour, although more colours could be launched later.

Even though Samsung is doing really well in the high-end smartphone segment, the company hasn’t shifted focus from the budget segment either. In fact just about two weeks back, Samsung launched the Rex series of budget feature phones which range from Rs. 4,280 to Rs. 6,490. The most expensive out of the lot - the Rex 90 has a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen, a 3.2MP camera and supports Wi-Fi and EDGE. Samsung intends for the Rex series to compete against Nokia’s popular Asha series of budget feature phones.
