Nokia Asha 310 now available for Rs. 5601/-

The Nokia Asha 310 is now available in India on the company official online store at a price tag of Rs. 5,601. The device is also available at other online stores at lower rates. The Nokia 310 model debuted in US for Rs. $102 last month and the quick Indian launch indicates the company's aggressiveness in capturing the lost mobile market where once it was the unchallenged leader.

The highlight of the phone is the fact that it is a dual SIM device that allows easy interchangeability between cards, with the slot for the second one being drilled on the side of the body. The technology that is termed as Easy Swap permits users to choose between 5 SIMs without having to turn their handsets off. Xpress Browser automatically decreases the amount of data being consumed when customers are connected to the internet outside a Wi-Fi network. This would allow them to keep a track of their usage. The phone can be used to browse the internet and access social networking applications via GPRS, EDGE and Wifi networks. Users can exchange data between devices using micro USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 3.0.

A 3-inch capacitive touchscreen covers the front panel that displays visuals at a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels. The phone’s rear has been affixed with a 2MP camera for picture and video capturing purposes. The device has been kept light, weighing just 104 grams. The phone houses a 1110 mAh battery that provides up to 17 hours of total talk time. The phone comes with 20 MB internal storage which is just for basic applications. The phone also has a micro SD card slot which lets you expand the memory by up to 32 GB.
