Cheaper 4.7 inch windows phone - Nokia Lumia 625 launched

Cheaper 4.7 inch windows phone - Nokia Lumia 625 launched Nokia today unveiled the largest addition to its Windows Phone lineup, the Lumia 625. The cheaper version of the window phone  is a low-to-mid-range device with a large 4.7-inch IPS LCD (i.e., low resolution) display, a dual core processor, half a GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage -- which at least can be expanded to 64GB via microSD card (7GB of free SkyDrive cloud storage also comes as standard). The company promised the ability to see the display in direct sunlight, and manipulate the touch screen while wearing gloves or with long nails.

The 4G Lumia 625 runs Windows Phone 8 and a 1.2-GHz, dual-core processor. There's 512MB of RAM and 8GB of storage, expandable up to 64GB via an SD card.

There's a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and LED flash, as well as a VGA front-facing camera.
Like other Lumia phones, the 625 comes in a variety of colors, including orange, yellow, bright green, white, and black via changeable shells.

"The interchangeable shells are constructed of a single piece of translucent polycarbonate, layered with an inner color designed to amplify and bring to life your final color choice; orange, bright green or yellow," Nokia said. "The result gives richness to the colors, similar to the Nokia Lumia 620."

The Nokia Lumia 625 will be available in the third quarter, but is currently only set to launch in China, Europe, Asia Pacific, India, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Nokia said it will sell for about 220 Euros, though that's before any carrier subsidies.
The Lumia 625 comes with the usual assortment of Nokia apps, including the Here suite of navigation options and Nokia Music.

The Nokia Lumia 625 will begin selling in India in Q3, 2013.
