Google making success, Microsoft, Baidu working on their own Glass versions

With google glass evoking much enthusiasm among the tech freaks, the other technology giant - Microsoft do not want to be left behind. They are planning Google Glass-like Internet-connected glasses, if a note by analyst Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets, is to be believed. The company may make the glasses available in the first half of 2014.

Microsoft GlassesGoogle calls this technology augmented reality, where the interneted glass provided you with information projected in front of your eyes. By wearing the device, users will be able to accomplish voice-driven activities such as sending a text message or answering a call. The integrated display, located to to the upper right of a user's right eye, displays necessary information to operate the headset. Google has demonstrated the glass and is made available for the developers for $ 1500. The device will be available commercially by 2013 end. 

The Chineese copy clone of Google search, Baidu is also working on its own smart glasses technology - similar to Google's Glass project. Like Google Glass, the Baidu glasses - reportedly known internally as Baidu Eye - consist of a small LCD screen attached to a slim headset.

The future is about the wearable technology. Apart from the google glass, Apple and Samsung are working on smart watch project. Apple is rumored to develop a wearable ring based remote control for its upcoming TV. Google proposes a ring based gadget for authentication mechanism that may replace password systems.
