11 Bank holidays in March 2021.

As per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) listed holidays banks across the country will remain shut for 11 days in March 2021. This includes the 4 Sundays and 2 Saturdays. The other days that the banks will remain close are March 5, 11, 22, 29 and 30.

However, bank holidays vary in several states, depending on festivals being observed in respective states or notification of certain occasions in those states.

It has to be noted that only branches will be closed on these days. Mobile and internet banking will remain functional as usual.

Bank holidays are also not observed by all banking companies. Holidays of the mentioned days will be observed in several regions as per the state declared holidays, however for the gazetted holidays, banks will be shut all over the country.

Bank account holders must take note of the below-mentioned bank holiday dates before planning to visit their nearest branch for any transaction.

These are the days that the banks will remain closed.

  1. Chapchar Kut: March 5
  2. Sunday: March 7 
  3. Mahashivratri (Maha Vad-13): March 11
  4. Saturday: March 13
  5. Sunday: March 14
  6. Sunday: March 21
  7. Bihar Divas: March 22
  8. Saturday: March 27 
  9. Sunday: March 28
  10. Holi (Second Day) - Dhuleti/Yaosang 2nd Day: March 29
  11. Holi: March 30
