Sub: Recovery of Transport Allowance.

It is found during a preventive check in a unit of ECR that Transport Allowance has been granted in f{/o some official who did not attend office any day in a calendar month during the lockdown.

As per existing rule regarding admissibility of Transport allowance issued by Railway Board, it is mentioned that any employee who could not attend office in a whole calendar month are not eligible to draw Transport allowance for that month as these employees had not incurred any expenditure for commuting office. (RBE No.104/2020)

Recoveries of Transport Allowance may please be ensured in all Similar cases where personnel did not attend office any day in a calendar month within the jurisdiction of East Central Railway.
