The proposal to offer a bonus on state employees' insurance coverage for the fiscal year 2019–20 was approved by Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The Actuary Appraisal Report, which will help about 7.50 lakh state employees, has received Gehlot's approval. Gehlot also agreed to a suggestion to pay veterinary interns a dearness allowance in addition to their stipend, similar to what is done for medical and Ayurvedic interns.
In accordance with the Rajasthan Government Employees' Insurance Rules-1998, the director of insurance suggested a simple reversionary bonus of Rs 90 per thousand for endowment policies and Rs 112.5 per thousand for life policies for the 2019–20 policy year. Additionally, it was suggested that insurance plans get a bonus at the same rate for the fiscal year 2018–19.
