53.8 lakh public grievances redressed during good governance week

The Center reported on Tuesday that during the just finished good governance week, up to 53.8 lakh public complaints were resolved.

Between December 19 and December 25, the government observed the second "Sushasan Saptah" (good governance week).

According to a statement released by the Personnel Ministry, the Sushasan Saptah witnessed a national push for the resolution of public grievances and enhancing service delivery.

Prashasan Gaon ki Ore 2022 has made great progress, as evidenced by the resolution of 53.8 lakh public complaints, the dismissal of 310 lakh service delivery requests, and the documentation of 949 innovations in governance.

The week's theme was Prashasan Gaon ki Ore (governance toward the village).

All 768 districts convened workshops on December 23 to discuss innovations and the vision for India@2047.

A senior retired IAS official who had previously held the position of district collector in that district presided over the district-level workshops.

In its 121st report, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions praised the extraordinary success of the Prashasan Gaon ki Ore campaign and suggested that similar campaigns be held more frequently.

The Prashasan Gaon ki Ore campaign and good governance week 2022 events served as a powerful illustration of the effectiveness of the whole-of-government strategy, which saw central government officials collaborate with state government officials, district officials, and tehsil-level officials to advance the country's "maximum governance-minimum government" model of governance, the statement continued.
