AP hikes DA by 5.24%  to 38.776%

The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a DA hike for state government employees. With effect from July 1, 2019, the State government issued an order (G.O. 99) releasing Dearness Allowance (DA) of 5.24 per cent of base wage. Employees' DA was increased from 33.536 per cent to 38.776 per cent by the government.

Employees of zilla parishads, mandal parishads, gramme panchayats, municipalities, municipal corporations, agricultural market committees (AMCs), Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas, work-charged establishments, teaching and non-teaching staff of aided institutions such as aided polytechnics, non-teaching staff of universities such as A.P. Agricultural University, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, and

K. Venkatarami Reddy, chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Administration Employees Federation, praised Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and the state government for taking steps to release the DA. From January 2022 forward, the DA would be paid. He stated that the DA arrears would be paid in three instalments beginning in January 2022.
