Budget 25-26 with “Kabhi Khushi – Kabhi Ghum: General Secretary of AIDEF

Budget 25-26 as usual comes with “Kabhi Khushi – Kabhi Ghum”, as some may be happy with the Budget, but C. Srikumar, General Secretary of AIDEF, is not happy at all.

He says :

  1. The Finance Minister should have straight away announced that there would be no income tax up to Rs. 12 lakh and only any amount exceeding Rs. 12 lakh would be taxable instead of keeping different slabs with in Rs.12 lakh. Now, we have to wait for the Government Notification in this regard since there could be lot of hidden things when the orders are issued.
  2. 18 months DA Arrears for Central Government Employees not announced
  3. No announcement on restoration of Old Pension Scheme
  4. No announcement on filling up of 13 lakh posts lying vacant in Central Government Departments
  5. No announcement on Implementation of Parliament Standing Committee recommendations on Pensioners
  6. No announcement of one CGHS Wellness Centre in every District through out the country
  7. No withdrawal of Corporatisation of Ordnance Factories even after 15 employees were killed in Factory Accidents with in 3 years of Corporatisation.
  8. 100% FDI in Insurance Sector is very dangerous
  9. No announcement for Restoration of Senior Citizen Concession in Indian Railways
  10. No announcement of increasing the ex-gratia Compensation to the Central Government Employees who die in accidents while on duty to Rs. One Crore from Rs.25 Lakhs including to Apprentices
  11. No announcement of 100% Compassionate Appointment to the dependents of deceased Central Government Employees
  12. No time limit for 8th Central Pay Commission announced

In nutshell, this is a Budget continuing with privatisation of all sectors and beneficial to Corporates. Common man will continue with his sufferings and miseries, adds C. Srikumar, General Secretary, AIDEF.
