Ex-Servicemen can submit life certificate till December 31, 2021

Sub: Extension of period for submission of Life Certificate from November 2021 till December-2021 – reg.

In view of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and keeping in view of the vulnerability of elderly population to Corona Virus, Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare vide O.M. No. 18/1//2020-P&PW(H)-III-6786 dated 01.12.2021 (copy enclosed) have issued instructions with regard to extending the period for submission of Life Certificate. This year, all Central Government Pensioners may submit Life Certificate till 31st December 2021. During the extended period, the pension will be continued to be paid by the Pension Disbursement Authorities (PDAs) uninterrupted.

2. Defence Forces Pensioners/Family Pensioners also required to. submit Annual Life Certificate once in the month of November every year.

4. In view of the above, CGDA is requested to kindly take necessary action for implementation of instructions issued by DoP&PW vide their above cited OM dated 01.12.2021 mutatis-mutandis for Armed Forces Pensioners/ Family pensioners. Action taken in the matter may kindly be intimated to this Ministry.
