Subject: Enhancement in the existing eligibility limit of 68J Claims for Auto Claims Processing from Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/- reg.

Madam/Sir,

It is to inform that the Competent Authority has approved the limit of auto claim settlements under para 68J from Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/- and the same had been also deployed in the application software on 10/Apr/2024. This is for information and further necessary action of all.

This facility being in the nature of Ease of Living is required to be suitably disseminated to all the stakeholders for their information.

What is 68J under which the limit has been raised?

Paragraph 68-J of the Employees' Provident Fund Scheme enables members to request advances from the fund under circumstances related to medical treatment. These circumstances include hospitalisation lasting for one month or more, major surgical operations, and ailments such as tuberculosis, leprosy, paralysis, cancer, mental derangement, or heart ailments.
