On February 10, all Assam Government NPS employee unions will participate in a single day of strike action in support of the return of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). On February 1st, people observed Black Day in relation to this. The National Pension System (NPS) was bypassed and the Old Pension System (OPS) was reinstated, according to the association's president, Achyutananda Hazarika.
Participants at the meeting from the Assam State Employees Federation, Confederation of Central Government Employees, Joint Council of Trade Unions, and All Assam Government NPS employees' Association came to the decision to stage a one-day strike on the specified date.
Apart from Assam, employees from Manipur, Mizoram and Sikkim too will be observed in their respective states. For this strike, various government employee associations have shown their support.
