Shree Saini, an Indian-American, came in second at the Miss World 2021 pageant on March 17 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She represented America in the pageant. Karolina Bielawska from Poland won the title of international beauty pageant Miss World 2021.
Earlier Shree Saini made history as the first Indian American to win the Miss World America title, she was known as "Shree Saini."
Shree Saini, a facial burns survivor, is the Miss World Beauty With A Purpose (BWAP) ambassador. After surviving life-saving emergency surgery due to a complete heart block as a child, as well as a devastating car crash in college, the 26-year-old has worked hard to find ways to heal from her physical and emotional pain.
Shree Saini is from Punjab. When she was 5, her family moved to DC. Her life has not been easy due to her health issues. Her rare heart condition required a permanent pacemaker at the age of 12. As a result, she had open-heart surgery and a pacemaker implanted, according to Better India.
She also had a fatal accident with facial burns. But she overcame her fears and grew stronger.
She found her life's purpose after many trials. In an interview, she stated that she wants to inspire others by becoming Miss World.
Before the Miss World pageant, she wrote on Instagram that she hoped her storey of overcoming FACIAL BURNS and HEART DEFECT would inspire others.
