Subject: Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) for promotion to the cadre of P. S. Group ‘’B’ for the vacancy years 2021,2022 and 2023 – Kept in abeyance – regarding.

Madam Sir,

I am directed to refer to the Notification issued vide letter No. A-34012/04/2023-DE (II) dated 21.11.2023 and subsequent letter No. A-34012/04/2023-DE dated 04.01.2024 regarding LDCE for promotion to the cadre of P.S. Group ‘‘B’ for the vacancy years 2021, 2022 and 2023.

2. Hon’ble CAT, Jaipur Bench has passed an order on 30.11.2023 in OA No. 639/2023 filed by Shri J. K. Hingorani, as under:

“the resoondents have not held DPC for the last six years as such the applicant would not be part of the LDCE for promotion to the cadre of postal services. The applicant is prayed for staying the notification dated 21.11.2023 as an interim relief, therefore, the respondents are directed to consider and resolve the issue raised by the applicant before proceeding with the process notified by Notification dated 21.11.2023”.

3. While the above matter is being looked into, the competent Authority has ordered the following:

“The process of above LDCE is kept in abeyance till further directions.”

4, This may be given wide publicity amongst all concerned.
