Over 1.5 lakh Telangana employees to be transferred in 7 days

In just seven days, the Telangana government plans to transfer over 1.5 lakh employees. Despite the fact that it issued transfer guidelines on Friday, senior employees in the district cadre were seeking at least two months' notice to begin duty in new locations in the aftermath of the Omicron threat and children's studies. However, according to government guidelines, employees have three days to consider transfers and spouse options. The collector will chair an official committee in this regard at the district level. The government directed officials to issue separate guidelines for postings in the departments of Police, Excise, Stamps, Commercial Taxes, and Registration.

According to officials, the entire transfer and posting process will take seven days. Employees are offered spouse options after joining a specific posting at any chosen location, according to norms. Employees can choose their options based on the zonal, multi-zonal, district, and state cadres, as well as procedures and guidelines. A committee was formed to oversee the process and ensure that the transfers and postings go smoothly. Somesh Kumar, Chief Secretary, directed the officials' committee to monitor and complete the transfers as soon as possible. He also asked the collectors to take steps to ensure that transfers are completed as quickly and smoothly as possible under the new zonal system.
