Single Integrated Pensioner's Portal launched

Single Integrated Pensioner's Portal launched

On October 18, 2022, Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (IC) for the Ministries of Science and Technology, Earth Science, Prime Minister's Office, and Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, unveiled the Integrated Pensioners' Portal. In order to improve the "Ease of Living" for Central Government Pensioners, the government created the Bhavishya 9.0 portal in partnership with State Bank of India (SBI), according to a press release from PIB.

The remaining 16 pension disbursing organisations will shortly start integrating with the Integrated Pensioners Portal as well.

"Dr. Jitendra Singh announced during the launch that the SBI Pension Seva portal and BHAVISHYA, a portal for pension payment and tracking system, are being merged. This would allow pensioners to access all information and services in one location with a single login. The retirees can select a bank and branch to start an online pension account, check their monthly pension slips, Form 16, Status of Life Certificate, and change their pension disbursing bank through BHAVISHYA after all phases of this integration have been completed, according to the PIB announcement.

The following are key points that pensioners should be aware of, according to the Bhavishya website.

Bhavishya, what is it?

The Department of Pension & Pensioners' Welfare's "Bhavishya" programme was started with the intention of ensuring the payment of all retirement dues and the delivery of Pension Payment Orders (PPO) to retiring employees on the actual day of retirement. The system offers online tracking of all acts taken in preparation for granting pension and other retirement benefits, as well as the payment of monthly pension after retirement, by the individual as well as the administrative authorities.

Individuals can also get ePPO and eSSA using the system. Additionally, it enables the user to save ePPO in DigiLocker.

How can I get on the Bhavishya portal?

The Bhavishya portal's website address is https://bhavishya.nic.in. Employees who are retiring will instantly receive their login information via email and SMS. For a login ID and password, DDO and HOO must register themselves online with the Bhavishya portal.

Is adhering to the deadlines required?

The deadlines outlined in the CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972 and any subsequent instructions issued from time to time by the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare must be adhered to.

Whether retiring employee can change the uploaded scanned images (Single photograph, Joint photograph and Signature) ?

Yes, before submitting forms to HOO, the departing employee can replace the image that was already uploaded with a new one.

Can retiring employees edit his/her details after submitting pension forms to HOO ?

No, if additional modifications are needed to the retiring employee forms after submitting the pension forms, HOO must return the documents.

How may a retiring employee update his or her information in Bhavishya, including Name, PAN, Date of Joining, Date of Birth, Date of Retirement, Designation, and Gender?

First, the information (Name, PAN, Date of Joining, Date of Birth, Date of Retirement, Designation, and Gender) must be amended in the service book and salary package via DDO or HOO. Only after that will the changes be recorded in the Bhavishya portal via the salary package.
