DA Hike, Bonus For UP Govt Employees Will Be Announced Before Diwali

The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has announced a pre-Diwali treat for its employees by revealing a generous bonus along with a 4% Dearness Allowance (DA) hike. A spokesperson for the state government affirmed, "Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given his assurance that employees will receive the bonus and the increased DA ahead of Diwali, which is celebrated on November 4th this year." The proposal for this bonus and DA hike, originally put forth by the state finance department, now awaits final clearance from the Chief Minister's office. JN Tiwari, the president of the Uttar Pradesh Rajya Karamchari Samyukta Parishad, expressed his hopes regarding the bonus calculation, stating, "We request the state government to calculate the bonus based on the minimum wages of Rs 18,000 per month. Currently, the state government caps the bonus at a maximum of Rs 7,000, with 75% of the amount deposited in the provident fund account of the employees."
