The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has announced a pre-Diwali treat for its employees by revealing a generous bonus along with a 4% Dearness Allowance (DA) hike. This festive season, the state government is set to bring joy and financial relief to nearly 16 lakh government employees and pensioners.
The decision to raise the DA is a response to the Central government's recent 4% DA hike for its employees. This move underscores the state government's commitment to ensuring the well-being and financial security of its workforce.
A spokesperson for the state government affirmed, "Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given his assurance that employees will receive the bonus and the increased DA ahead of Diwali, which is celebrated on November 4th this year." This decision is bound to brighten the festive season for the hardworking employees and pensioners.
The proposal for this bonus and DA hike, originally put forth by the state finance department, now awaits final clearance from the Chief Minister's office. Once approved, this financial boost will not only usher in the festive season with a bang but also strengthen the financial stability of employees.
JN Tiwari, the president of the Uttar Pradesh Rajya Karamchari Samyukta Parishad, expressed his hopes regarding the bonus calculation, stating, "We request the state government to calculate the bonus based on the minimum wages of Rs 18,000 per month. Currently, the state government caps the bonus at a maximum of Rs 7,000, with 75% of the amount deposited in the provident fund account of the employees."
With this announcement, the Yogi Adityanath government continues to demonstrate its unwavering support for the welfare and financial security of its employees, underscoring the state's dedication to their happiness and prosperity.
As Diwali approaches, government employees in Uttar Pradesh can eagerly anticipate celebrating the festival with greater enthusiasm and improved financial well-being, all thanks to this thoughtful pre-Diwali initiative.
