Central Government Offices in Delhi to be Closed from September 8 to 10 for G-20 Summit

Central Government Offices in Delhi to be Closed from September 8 to 10 for G-20 Summit

The Government of India has announced that all Central Government Offices located in Delhi will be closed from September 8 to 10 for the G-20 Summit. The summit will be held on September 9 and 10 at the Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition-Convention Centre in Pragati Maidan.

The decision to close the offices was taken in view of the magnitude of the event and the substantial logistical arrangements involved. The G-20 Summit is expected to be attended by a number of Heads of States, Heads of Government, invitee guest countries, and Heads of International Organizations.

The closure of the offices will affect around 4 lakh Central Government employees in Delhi. However, essential services such as health, power, water, and sanitation will continue to be provided.

The G-20 Summit is a major international event that will bring together leaders from the world's 20 largest economies. The summit is expected to discuss a wide range of global issues, including the economy, climate change, and security.

The closure of the Central Government Offices in Delhi is a major inconvenience for employees, but it is necessary to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the G-20 Summit.

The Government of India has requested the cooperation of all employees in this matter.
