Railway has further extended the deadline for the submission of the self-appraisal/APARs through HRMS up to 31st December 2021. The earlier date was November 30. The Annual Performance Appraisal System or APAR has to be submitted online through the e-APAR module of HRMS. The HRMS or the Human Resource Management System was introduced last year for improving the efficiency and productivity of the Indian Railway system. The Annual Performance Appraisal Report (APAR) module or e-APAR module digitises the complete process of writing annual performance appraisal of all 12 lakh non gazetted Railway employees. APAR module on HRMS portal is applicable for only Non-Gazetted employees of Indian Railways. Gazetted officers including Group-‘B’ officers have to fill their APAR on SPARROW website.

Please refer to Board’s letter cited above wherein the deadline for filing the self appraisal in e-APAR module of HRMS was extended till 30.11.2021 in view of certain issues faced by employees while filing their self appraisal in the HRMS system.
2. Due to server related and connectivity issues in the HRMS system, it has been observed that field units were not able to complete the process of self appraisals through e-APAR module of HRMS by 30th November 2021.
3. It has. therefore, been decided to further extend the deadline for completing the process of filing self appraisal/APARs through HRMS upto 31st December, 2021. Field Units are advised to ensure that the process is completed positively by 31.12.2021.
